The front of the Cervia pillow rises 3.5 inches and closes with a magnet, so your chin has support when you fall asleep sitting up. The back is flat, so it doesn’t push your head forward off the headrest.

How Cervia compares with a standard U-pillow

How Cervia compares with a standard U-pillow

A U-pillow supports the sides of your head and leaves the front open. When you fall asleep sitting up, your chin drops into that gap and your neck takes the weight. Cervia closes the front at chin height and keeps the back flat, so your head stays against the headrest.

Man asleep in a train window seat wearing the Cervia pillow in Sage, his head upright against the headrest

How to wear it

1

Flat side against the seat

Put it on with the thin back against the headrest and the two tall ends under your jaw.

2

Close the front

Bring the two ends together under your chin. The magnets find each other and hold.

3

Lean back

The headrest takes the weight of your head, and the front supports your chin when your neck relaxes.

Turn your head hard and the clasp opens. Close it again with one hand.

“I fly Chicago to Delhi twice a year and have tried three U-pillows. This is the first one where I wake up with my head still on the headrest instead of on my chest. It’s warmer than an inflatable, which I like at 2 a.m. and don’t like while boarding.”
